Okay, so, this is going to be the OOC thread for the Starfinder Roleplay that I haven't started yet but will be soon.
This is gonna be a pure roleplay without relying on stats and rolled characters, but for those participating I'd like you to think of your character's capabilities in terms of a 12th level character.
As is the standard conceit of a Starfinder game, the characters will be the crew of a starship. Nothing too big or fancy; think the Millennium Falcon or the Milano from Guardians of the Galaxy. Something that about half a dozen people can live on reasonably comfortably but that's about it.

The Dreamer, owned by Captain Nalse, is a medium-sized tier 12 Transport-class starship; think more Bebop from Cowboy Bebop than Millennium Falcon. Designed to keep it's crew alive in unfriendly systems, it is ideal for exploration & long-distance hauling, and makes for a comfortable permanent residence, which is good, because this is what the party is calling home. The ship measures 300ft or 91.44m long and I'm not going to list it's mass as I know that Paizo screwed those measurements up. The Dreamer can be crewed by a single person as necessary but operates best with a full complement of six active crew members. But for the basics; the crew quarters are "good" quality, with each member of the crew having a private, dormitory style room with a twin-sized bed & personal closet. There are two shared bathrooms with multiple sinks & shower stalls. Comparatively this is comfortable living, but not luxurious. Of the ship's five expansion bays, one remains unmodified for use as a cargo hold capable of storing 25tons worth of merchandise. A secondary cargo hold exists hidden behind a bulkhead for smuggling purposes. A third bay functions as quest quarters and is capable of comfortably holding four passengers. The fourth bay is a recreation suite, containing exercise equipment & a trivid viewing den. The final expansion bay is used for the ship's two life-boats. While by no means a warship, the Dreamer isn't without teeth; it has two forward weapon mounts, one light & one heavy, an light aft weapon mount, and two light turrets. The forward weapon mounts are a heavy laser cannon & light particle beam, the aft mount is a light EMP cannon for disabling pursuers, and the turrets are a coilgun & tactical nuclear missile launcher, which due to the expense, is something of a weapon of last resort. Each mount requires an active gunner in combat. Other features include; Power Node: Pulse Orange Thrusters: M10 Armor: Mk8 Computer: Mk3 Tetranode Drift(Hyperspace) Engine: Signal Major Anti-missile defenses: Mk9 Security: Anti-hacking systems, computer countermeasures Heavy shields Basic Long Range sensors Link explaining what all that shit means: www.starjammersrd.com/equipment/starshipsSuffice to say that the Dreamer is a very fast ship, with the second fastest thrusters available & a drift engine that cuts down drift travel time significantly. Aside from speed & maneuverability, it's reasonably well put together but not exceptional, with middle of the road(good for it's tier) armor(technically the best it can have without sacrificing maneuverability), weapons, & computer systems. The ship isn't specialized or dedicated to any specific purpose, but rather to be something of a jack of all trades as a cargo ship & smuggler, tough enough to fight or scare off pirates long enough to escape but better off running from a serious engagement. |

Guess that makes the math easy then... not counting the NPC, I love 80% of the characters in the thread.
