Me, personally, I watched Thor: Ragnarok over the weekend. Was a lot more comedic in tone than I was expecting it to be; in some ways it was more so than even Marvel fair like Guardians of the Galaxy & Antman.
And that certainly worked to an extent, most all of the jokes made me laugh, I did feel that they worked to undermine the flow of the film at times and it could have probably done with a bit more restraint.
It does have some genuine & sincere moments, though. especially with Anthony Hopkins. And I like how it fully embraces the whole, they're gods, thing, where as previous Thor movies skirted around that and/or outright denied it.

I stream things.
Movies and cable are expensive.

Okay. So. Justice League.
Here's the thing; I went into this with super low expectations. I'd heard some good things, I'd heard more bad things, and ultimately I was expecting this movie to be a flaming pile of shit like Batman v Superman was.
But it wasn't. It was fine. It was okay.
But my issue is that I can't really speak to any aspect of it that I loved. I can nitpick the hell out of and go on about what didn't work, and I can say "well I thought this was going to be terrible but it turned out to be fine". But, as a comparison, I came out of Thor: Ragnarok with things that I could point to and say, "that was great, that worked, that was wonderful, that was a highlight, I loved that". So the fact that I can't work up any kind of enthusiasm when talking about this movie really speaks to something, to me. Still, it works, it's fine, I don't regret seeing it. It didn't drag, it wasn't a slog, it wasn't painful. I don't know how much I'll remember about it in a week.
One thing I will say, and this is a negative; this movie looks like shit. I heard people complaining about the obvious green screen in Ragnarok but honestly I didn't notice it there, but I noticed it and I noticed it a lot in this movie. Cyborg looks terrible, the Flash's effects look terrible, Henry Cavill's CGI face because they did reshoots while he had facial hair for another movie looks terrible. This movie cost $300 million to make and there is no excuse for it to look this shit.

Saw Black Panther the other day. Was great. Marvel continue to dunk on DC.
Hopefully going to go see Annihilation this weekend.

Don't tell me anything about Annihilation. I need to see that for myself so I can compare it to the book I read when it first came out.

I actually won't be going to see Annihilation this weekend because it isn't playing here in town & my granddad's back isn't up to a trip to Tyler & back to go see it.
