Do people have ideas for other threads?
I was considering some myself, but I don't have any really good ideas because I'm terrible.

I was going to suggest a moshpit type friendly fire thread for hilarious flaming and meme linking. Tag someone, rost them, move on.

Mmm, that's a decent OOC thread.
I'm sorta fishing for in-character thread ideas. xD

Oh you mean rps. Well, I don't feel like starting one, otherwise I'd make suggestions to see who would bite. I'll see what worlds other people want to play in.

Yea. I'm having a hard time coming up with anything. It's honestly probably because I'm currently running a game right now. That might change when it's over.

I'd take warcraft, DnD, 40K, or vampires, only cuz they are a staple. A paranormal investigations rp could work as long as we keep it dark.

I like fantasy, I like science-fiction, and I like more realistic settings as well. Throughout my role-playing history at the Gazebo I have always tried to get certain Star Wars role-plays off the ground. I've never met with anything but abysmal failure, mostly due to useless people who just abandon threads.
I like the idea of a group of individuals, or a team, sent on a specific task or mission, which they will perform will speed and focus, so that they might do so again. It's no different from all the Dungeons and Dragons stuff, but the emphasis is on the story and the objective, with the character development built slowly over a series of stories, so it doesn't bog down a thread. In this way, your characters are more active, participate more, accomplish more and just live more than they would with twelve paragraphs of internal-monologue per post.
Edit: traditional role-playing loses traction fast. You're always waiting for every person to react to even the slightest movement. It's absurd, and the death of that creative spark. With a small group of role-players you trust it becomes more about the story and individuals than it does the collective and the narrative. I like to move away from traditional role-playing where I can.

We are currently doing something like that in the Shadowrun rp, but I'm certainly open to doing something similar in a different setting. I know WB doesn't like Shadowrun so a different setting would be good to include her in.

I was thinking of a feudal European setting. Or essentially that, it doesn't have to be typically European, I am fine with other ethnicities and cultures. Just not magic and stuff like that. Think historical fiction and not fantasy.
I was really thinking of an adaption of The Magnificent Seven with some alterations to make it realistic. I picture a war between two great kingdoms, or states of one kingdom, and a free-for-all throughout the smaller outlying townships in the country. Our stalwart law man who happens to be some kind of benevolent mercenary or man-at-arms A simple, quick story. I don't want it to be long or complex.
Because it's a made up place, I would think people are free to create the cultural identity of whatever country they come from. And I could be convinced to draw up a map.

I was thinking more At Agincourt, Hammer for the Princes or Enemies of the Piece rather than Game of Thrones. I'm also quite happy for you to be the lawman. I kind of had you in mind for it.

I've been thinking about starting a Dragon Age thread, wanted to see if there was any interest.

I'm leaning towards the time frame of Inquisition, there is a lot of open room to expand upon the story without trampling on lore. Other thought would be during one of the Blights.

Ok, just a little insight here, to Former Fiend and Rex Apium
You guys talk like you want to get your board up and running
But, yet, when I post, you're like, "meh, fine, whatever"....
I'm not saying my posts and threads are brilliant
But at least I'm trying to help you
Are you going to lay your chin upon the palm of your hand
While your elbow sits comfortably on the table?
Work with a person, that's all
That is my insight for the evening

Y'know. I'd be super interested in an RP thread starring Fiend and I. That sounds like a great idea for an RP Thread in this RP thread suggestion thread.
My only request is that I play Fiend.
